Restaurant Name: BGR The Burger Joint
Restaurant Address: 4827 Fairmont Avenue Bethesda, MD 20814
Restaurant Type: Fast-Casual
Here’s the Deal on the Meal: Wellington Burger with Garlic Fries
Introduction:
BGR is a burger restaurant which has a more fast-casual atmosphere (loud), but serves gourmet burgers. They also have a wide variety of fries, as well as a “Burger of the Month” and “Shake of the Month”. Their Wellington burger is their most famous burger, so I gave it a try.

This was the best burger I have ever had so far in my life. The combination of their sweet house sauce and the savory mushroom toppings with the prime grade patty was so delicious. However, the fries tasted unfortunately mediocre. The garlic fries were not garlic flavored fries, but rather fries with cloves of cooked garlic. Skip their potato fries.

The Wellington was about ~9 dollars. This is a good price for a gourmet burger, and although there is the 7 dollar classic burger, it is definitely worth it to pay the extra 2 bucks for the Wellington. The price starts to go up as you add fries and a shake though.

Although I thought the burger looked a little small at first, it was so filling. I didn’t feel like the fries were necessary.

The combination of the mushrooms, sauce and the meat was so unique and delicious. However, the classic burger was not as good as the Wellington. I suggest you pay extra for some of the more eccentric burgers.

We went on a very busy day, so we waited for at least 10-15 minutes. However, it went by quickly thanks to the restaurant’s ambiance (there were a lot of things to look at on the walls) and friends. They have pagers so you’re supposed to sit at your table and wait.

This was by far the best burger I have eaten, but the fries should be skipped. Order the Wellington. Note: if you want extra toppings (lettuce, tomato, etc.), you have to ask for it.

Additional Notes:
NKay: I wish I tried the Wellington. I’m not sure if we’ll do a post about it, but never try the southwestern burger. Trust me. It’s more like sloppy joe. At peak hours, this place is really crowded and loud, so keep that in mind. But all in all, it was a good place to eat -credit to Jason. Reminder: order your toppings at the register, even if they don’t ask. I forgot.
